Our Portfolio of Communities

The Village at Stetson Square is a pedestrian-friendly, highly amenitized mixed-use urban community located in the Uptown neighborhood of Corryville consisting of 70 for-sale rowhouses, townhomes and single-floor condominiums, 205 luxury apartments, and 79,000 SF of office with 15,000 SF of street level retail.

Stetson Square was the fastest-selling community in the City of Cincinnati for two consecutive years and has received numerous awards, including “Community of the Year”.

275 new residences have been built, adding well over 400 residents to the community and Corryville neighborhood. 70 new owner-occupied residences have been added to the Corryville neighborhood and Uptown area and the apartments consistently maintain a 98% occupancy rate.

Project Goals (ACHIEVED)

• To serve as a catalyst for the revitalization and redevelopment of Corryville and Uptown
• Meet a critical need for new market-rate housing (owner-occupied and rental) within the University Medical District and University area
• Contribute to neighborhood and City’s goal of increasing owner-occupied housing and attracting new residents to Uptown and the central city
• Create an upscale, pedestrian-friendly and highly amenitized community primarily targeting medical and graduate students, young professionals and University employees
• Establish a critical mass that has a true sense of place by creating a unique community village feel
• Use of high-quality architecture and consistent design that integrates into the surrounding historic neighborhood

Overall project investment was $84M and was a highly successful, yet complex, public-private partnership among Great Traditions Land & Development Co. (now Traditions Development Group), University of Cincinnati, Corryville Community Development Corporation (CCDC), Bellevue Gardens Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (BGCURC), Uptown Consortium, Cincinnati Development Fund, with support from the City of Cincinnati.

Traditions Development (formerly Great Traditions Land & Development Co.) served as development manager for The Village at Stetson Square and was responsible for the concept, creation, design and construction coordination of the entire project. In addition, our home building division designed, built, marketed and sold all 70 for sale residences.

Traditions Group, formerly Great Traditions Land & Development Co., served as master planner and community developer. Traditions Building Group, formerly Great Traditions Homes, also designed and built a limited collection of luxury lifestyle and family homes. Several of Cincinnati’s finest custom homebuilders also built within Chestnut Hill.

Community design elements include a sophisticated streetscape design with a network of sidewalks throughout, street trees and pocket parks, extensive landscaping of common areas, white horse park fencing surrounding community perimeter, custom stone entrance and additional monumentation, branded community signage, and a $1M+ community center with swimming pool, pavilion shade structure, fire pit and modern playground.

Wetherington has been acclaimed as one of America’s outstanding residential communities and is a 450-acre golf community located in West Chester, Ohio at the northwest corner of I-75 and Tylersville Road, in the highly acclaimed Lakota School District. Wetherington Golf and Country Club hosted HOMEARAMA^®, Greater Cincinnati’s premier luxury home show, and was named Community of the Year (best in the nation) by the National Association of Home Builders and Builder Magazine. The community is built around the championship golf course designed by nationally recognized golf course architect, Arthur Hills.

Classic American country-club style living with numerous community features and amenities including a spectacular 27,000 sq. ft. full-service clubhouse, swim, tennis and conference center, hiker-biker trails, park and playground, street trees and extensive landscaping, vintage street lighting and mailboxes, white horse-park fencing, lakes and abundant green spaces.

Luxury homes were built by the city’s top custom homebuilders within multiple branded neighborhoods, and include a range of styles including manor, grand estate, estate, club, lifestyle, townhomes, upscale condominiums and more. Wetherington offers a high-quality lifestyle and strong sense of a community for families of all sizes.

Wetherington received the Grand Award for Master Planned Community of the Year from the National Homebuilders Association and Builder Magazine. Three traffic lights existed on Tylersville Road before Wetherington was developed. Wetherington is considered an important development that helped to accelerate the high growth of West Chester Township and the Tylersville Road corridor.

Traditions Group, formerly Great Traditions Land & Development Co., served as master planner and land developer, concepting and coordinating the entire community design and execution. The mixed-use master plan also includes 80 acres of office and retail space fronting Tylersville Road.
